I returned home from Pittsburgh at about 2:30 this morning. The return-trip was much better than the toward-trip, mainly because, except for a bit of confusion at the beginning, I knew where I was going, and I was farely-well[1] rested. The duration was about two hours less, on the return-trip (\~12 hours to, \~9:30 fro, I think). I think that, in the future, I should keep driving and staying up for 30 hours mutually exclusive--the power-napping thing does appear to work surprisingly well, though.

There was an impressive car-wreck on the way to (one *flipped over* and the other with only minor frontal damage apparent), but it didn't involve me.

The party was spectacular. I met interesting people and cats (the latter weren't actually at the party). I got lei'd by hose (OK--that's a phonic pun that just doesn't work well in print; the shock-value is missing) and shaved an Indian man in a collaborative minor makeover-effort.

I was later treated to fresh diner-pierogies, served a coffee-house chai in an actual *glass mug* (as opposed to a paper cup) along with an amazing gigundo-macaroon, and given an opportunity to marvel at a "cumpie's" (I shit you not) convience-store.

I got my departure-lunch/-dinner/-supper/-whatever from a drive-through *Arby's* and refueled at strangely-named Pennsylvania-local(?) stations (`Quik Fill' and `Sheetz').

Fleet called with concern in the sudden and dramatic change in my spending-habits, figuring that the rapid billing-stuff-at-hot-topic-and-a-half-dozen-fuel-stations-between-nashua-an= d-pittsburgh-and-a-return-and-double-repurchase-at-relax-the-back-to-my-card binge *must* have been due to someone misappropriating my card (defalcating, peculating, and malversating, too, my dictionary tells me; wow--those are cool words). It's nice to know that the big-bankers watch over me benevolently.

I also now have a collection of several bizarre maple-products that I picked up in Massachusetts.

Arby's fries beat the hell out of Burger King's.

[1] is a pun.
